Update for May 2016

This month marked the opening of the new children’s wing at the Wausau Campus.  A great crew showed up early on a Monday morning to get “all things children” moved to the new rooms.  What a blessing those hands proved to be in helping us get ready for the first nursery use the very next day.  As this is being written, our Sunday School teachers are busy preparing their rooms for their first classes and our interior wall artists have met to further paint the outdoor themes on the new walls.  In the upcoming weeks you can expect to see the old nursery rooms/South Lobby transformed into our new lobby complete with a Connection Point (Information Center/Welcome Center/Literature Area) and our coffee/seating area.  The Phase II remodel will also include a transformation of the old library into a coat room, reworking of the blacktop where construction has been taking place, and a new room for our sound equipment and video recording.

Update for November 2016

November is a great month to be thankful for all that God has provided.  His provisions, through our Capital Campaign, have allowed the new secure Children’s wing at the Wausau Campus to open and many remodel or upgrade projects at all three campuses to move forward.  (Did you know Weston and Marathon are soon moving to high definition screens and projectors?) We are certainly thankful for all the volunteer hours, monetary gifts, and prayers that continue to move the NextGeneration Capital Campaign forward.   As of the end of August, we have received $1.34 million toward the $2.69 million project.  Pledged money continues to come in each month toward the final goal. But did you know that simply by writing “facility” on the memo line of a check donation or selecting facility on our on-line giving, you too can be part of this exciting opportunity?  We are certainly thankful for all God has provided and we know He has much more work to do through us here at Highland.
