Women's Ministry at Highland
Women’s WORD is a gathering of women, both new & seasoned in Bible study, who have a desire to go deeper in their faith by being taught the Word of God. It is our belief that as we study God’s words in community with other women we will be built up and better enabled to know God more, serve others better, encourage one another, and learn how to live worthy of the calling that the Bible reveals to us. Take the next step and join us.
Classes for women meet at a variety of times, places, and campuses. Please check the Highland Happenings publication on the Publications and Forms page or Highland's calendar for the latest studies. If a class requires registration it will appear on the Registration page of the website. New participants are welcome anytime to any of our studies.
Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPS)
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Program: The MOPS International program at Highland is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources. The purpose of MOPS International is to encourage, equip, and develop every mother who has preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
MOPS exists for all moms who share the similar desire to be the very best mom they can be! MOPS meets at Highland on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month during the school year from 9:15-11:15 a.m.
Childcare is limited, so please call ahead if you are interested in attending and need childcare. If you have general MOPS or childcare questions, please contact Amanda McLellan 715-212-3643 or email at
Moms NEXT Step Program: This is a ministry for moms whose children are older than preschool age. Join us as we seek to encourage moms of school aged kids! We meet in conjunction with MOPs, breaking off from time to time for topics more specific to our stage of mothering. For more information, please contact Molly Markey at 716-867-5539 or email at
prayer for schools
Moms in Prayer (MIP) are groups of moms praying for their children and their schools. There are several groups in the area; feel free to join in at anytime. MIP desires that all schools be covered in prayer. If you are interested in starting or attending a MIP group for your child(ren)'s school, please email Debbie Myhrer.
The Women's Ministries at Highland offer other ladies' events such as an annual Christmas Banquet, retreats, bonfires, book studies, and crafting opportunities. If detailed information about upcoming women's special events is currently available, it will appear in our "Highland Happenings" publication which is available by going to the Resources/Publications and Forms page of this site.
Spend a refreshing and encouraging weekend with friends, and make new ones, by attending a spiritually nourishing weekend of exhortation from God’s Word along with rich fellowship with other women. Sometimes Highland hosts a retreat; at other times we join other women at a local camp/conference center.
