Stage of Life Ministries
Are you UNDER 40 years old? If so, we have a Young Adults group just for you! Our Young Adults ministry meets on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. (during the school year) for a time of encouragement, prayer, and Bible study in the Youth Room of the Wausau Campus. We have study time both as a large group and in small groups.
Colossians 1:9-14 gives direction as to what our goal as a ministry is.
It is summed up this way:
- that we might know God more and learn about His Word
- that we might live lives worthy of God and please Him
- that we may be strengthened in endurance and patience in our faith
- that we continue to take the next step in our relationship with God
It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey. If you want to know God’s love for you and desire to know more about Him, we'd love to have you join us! If you have questions, please contact Pastor Ryan Jaeger at 715-842-5683 or .
Our single parent fellowship is a family ministry designed to serve a broad spectrum of single parenting needs.
Whether you are:
- Seeking community with those in the same boat as you
- Drowning in the midst of difficult circumstances OR
- Are somebody who has been a single parent or is still a single parent, and you are now in a position to offer tools and resources as a lifeline to others; you are welcome to join us!
We believe God is a God of restoration and new beginnings. We desire to encourage community, offer support, and provide hope through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Lifeboat offers activities, tangible support, encouragement, partnership, biblical teaching, and prayer support. How? By offering an opportunity for single parents and their children time to fellowship together. One Sunday a month, during the school year, we offer single parent families a Sunday meal. It is held at the Wausau Campus, right after the 10:30 a.m. service. This is a great time for single parent families to fellowship with one another.
If you are age 50 (ish) or older, this groups meets monthly for a social time at a variety of area restaurants. Check Highland's calendar for any upcoming events or contact Jeff or Jeanne Klapperich at 715-845-3543.
If you are widowed, divorced, or have never married, you are welcome at Journeys. Journeys—a ministry for single adults over 40—is an opportunity for you to grow in Christ, study God’s Word, find your true significance, renew your hope, receive help in overcoming past hurts, learn to forgive and be forgiven, enjoy the company of like-minded singles, and within this safe environment, develop genuine godly friendships.
The center of our Journeys ministry is the Friday night study. We meet during the school year from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Room B12 at Highland’s Wausau Campus. The setting is “casual classroom” and the format is typically a short video presentation followed by lively discussion and prayer. We alternate between the study of a particular book of the Bible and topics of specific concern to single adults. It is not necessary to attend every meeting in order to enjoy the benefits of the class. Join us whenever you can. Journeys also provides periodic activities for fellowship: movie nights, comedy nights, fire-pit cookouts, bike rides, scavenger hunts, mystery dinners, trips to museums, Christmas parties, etc.
It is not the intention of Journeys to be a place to pick up dates. While we understand that God, in His sovereignty, may bring two people together ultimately leading them to marriage, this is neither our purpose nor our focus. However, when it happens, we celebrate with them and encourage them to move their relationship forward in a godly manner that will bring honor and glory to Christ.
